GIVING HOOPS FANS THEIR OWN HYPE VIDEOS
Few of us will ever know what it’s like to walk down the tunnel to deafening applause and adoration from 20.000+ people. But at the 2024 Final Four in Phoenix, we gave fans the next best thing—their very own player-style, AI-enabled hype videos.
Every person’s fandom is different, so every fan hype video had to be different, too. As fans queued for the experience, they completed a short questionnaire, sharing little snippets of information with an AI engine already teeming with visual inspiration hand-selected by me and my team.
As a result, no two videos were alike. Questions like “What’s your go-to stadium snack?” (always featuring Coke Zero) meshed with their selection of school color, cheer style, and more to create explosive and completely impromptu background dressing for their most passionate fan work.
Not only did each fan go home with their own unique hype video, but we also adorned the activation space with sampling opportunities and a secondary photo opp so that no fan went without something to post or sip.
